The VITA Academy’s Great Composers Chamber Music Series

Founded in 2014 by Susan Lamb Cook, the VITA Academy’s Great Composers Chamber Music Series presents exciting and engaging performances to enthusiastic audiences in the lovely Scott-Skillman Recital Hall at the Harris Center in Folsom. In conjunction with these concerts, outreach performances are given at retirement communities in the greater Sacramento and Davis areas, enriching the lives of many throughout the region. A special part of this series is the “Rising Stars” program which was designed by Susan Lamb Cook to offer advanced music students the opportunity to study and perform works from the chamber music repertoire in an enriching and supportive environment. This program provides these young musicians with a professional level experience that will help shape their continued musical studies.
